Third Time Lucky

I can't believe it's new years eve already! This year has seriously gone so fast! The beginning of the year was pretty tough for me (I really struggled with gaining over two stone (30lbs) in 6 months) and nearly ended up being kicked out of college from being so depressed and unmotivated, which is when I started the blog. Reading other people's blogs and how they struggled with their weight really inspired me. After starting the blog and learning what clothes suit my body type, I've started to accept my body now (although I would love to get back down to where I was before) but I'm ok with how I look now. I can't wait for what next year brings :).
I got this skirt and top yesterday. I'm so terrible! As soon as I get something new, I have to style it up! Shane and I went shopping with some of our friends and I'm really surprised I only spent £40 (I also bought some MAC blusher and a face mask from Lush - I loveee that store haha!) I'm not too sure if I like the skirt or not, I don't think it's exactly flattering on my body since it is a size too big. I might have to go and exchange it for a smaller size, hopefully then it will fit a bit better.

I know I've wore this cardigan in the past two posts, but don't worry it has been washed haha! It's seriously just too easy to style up and really warm and comfy. I thought I was bad with my khaki H&M cardigan (I noticed I wore it in every other post for about a month) but I seem to be much worse with this one! Oh and that reminds me, the dress I was wearing in my last post from ASOS which Shane bought me for my birthday, it was practically falling apart after one wash, so they told me I had to send it back for a refund! :( I loved that dress, especially being a present from Shane, but hopefully I'll find something else instead.

Hope everyone has a great New Year! Hopefully if the weather's ok I'll be back with another outfit post tomorrow :).

Another Year Older

So today is my 20th birthday!! I can't believe I'm 20 now! I was talking to one of my friends last night and 20 just seems sooo much older than 19 for some strange reason. 19 is like the perfect age, but 20, I don't know what it is, but I'm not too fond of it haha! Nevermind, I can't be 19 forever so I'll just live with it. I never really understood why Peter Pan never wanted to grow up, even now I'm older, but now I'm on his side haha! If only I could be peter pan :)

So my day so far has been really nice. I woke up and opened my presents from my mum, dad  and Shane, he cooked me breakfast in bed, then we went shopping for a bit. I'm really surprised I only bought 3 things for myself which totalled £9! I bought this necklace, the nail varnish I'm wearing and some grey tights from H&M all at £2.99 each. I was a bit nervous about the nail varnish, but I'd totally recommend it! They had some other really nice colours there too which I might have to go back and buy!

After shopping, we went for a longer walk than usual down to take the outfit pictures. I've always wanted to do a shoot here, but when it came to actually going, I just couldn't be bothered with the walk through fields for about 20 mins and just ended up going somewhere closer, but I finally got round to it today! I think it looks sooo much better covered in frost anyway :)

This dress is one of my presents from my birthday and christmas wish list that Shane bought me! I was soo happy when I opened it, but I expected the material to be different (on the website it's a lot more shiney which I wasn't so keen on) but I prefer it IRL! I might just have to buy the rust coloured one now it's in the sale haha! I also got a massive gummy bear, ralph by ralph lauren perfume and some pj shorts which have an amazing pattern on them of raindeers :) My mum was so funny this morning! She tied some ribbon around my cat's collar with a Happy Birthday tag on it and he barged through with my mum! He was kinda confused with what was going on so she had to put him on the bed for me to see, but plan was for him to come over to me and I'd see the tag haha!

A Cold Winter's Day

I'm so excited that it snowed again last night! It literally came down like a blizzard for about an hour or two then stopped. I absolutely love snow! Apparently it's supposed to snow all weekend and over christmas! We've never really had a white christmas here, so that would be absolutely amazing! I know this may sound strange, but I absolutely love doing shoots in the snow! I just think it makes things look 100% more prettyer :) (is that even a word?).
I got this cardigan from work last week, and I literally haven't took it off all week/weenend, it just seems to go with everything and I've been on the hunt for a cream cardigan for a while. It's so warm and comfy! I also got this romper/playsuit for christmas! Well, my gran and auntie gave me money in my card, so I spent it on this. As soon as I saw it I just fell in love haha! I was actually sitting there waiting for the postman today so I could wear it! How sad am I haha! I really could have done with it a size smaller, I got it in a 14 since I have such big legs/bum, but it's humongus! Nevermind, I'll live haha!

I got some amazing news yesterday! London College of Fashion invited me for an assessment day in January for a place on their course! I'm soo happy since that's my dream uni, but I have to take part in a maths exam (I havent done maths in like 3 years so I've basically forgot everything - no joke). If I pass the maths exam I get to go through to a group discussion with loads of other candidates! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time, and I'm kind of stressing out over the huge amount of work I actually have to do! I've got a law assignment due in the first week back (I do not understand law one bit), another assignment, maths revision for my interview, and I've got to do loads of fashion research, then on top of that I'm being nagged by work to constantly do as much overtime as possible over christmas, no matter how much I say I cant! When I get stressed, I kind of just don't want to do anything and put of doing any work - which then leads me to get more stressed. Does anyone else get like this or is it just me? Sorry for the rant haha! :( Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Christmas/Birthday Wish List

Every year I usually end up spoiling my own christmas and birthday (my birthday is on the 21st!) by asking people what to get me or doing the shopping with them then just keeping it before christmas. But I decided that this year, I want to actually be surprised. I know I'm probably not going to get most of the things on this list (if any) but hey it's worth a try right? (even if I only get one thing then I'll be completely surprised haha)!

(So Shane and mum, if you're reading this...links are included hehe:))

1. Kani Headband, 2. Wreck this Journal from ModCloth, 3. Barcelona Flowers Dress from Ruche, 4. Brown Masculine Boots from River Island, 5. ASOS Peter Pan Collar Dress, 6. Now I just need Shane and my mum to do one since I have no idea what to get them (hint hint hehe) What have you guys got on your Christmas lists? Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Winter Wonderland

Don't you just love snow days?! My teacher called me this morning and said not to bother coming in today, so I immediatly begged Shane to come out and take some outfit pictures. Two posts in one week - it's a rareity, so don't get too used to this haha! Well unless the snow keeps up, which I don't think it's planning on stopping anytime soon. It always annoys me only doing one post a week and wish I could do more, I just never get the time to do any.
Yes, I am wearing the same skirt as my last post! I'm just so inspired by it since it's new colour change. I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe to work with, although this cardigan just keeps popping up. This is also a new blouse I got from Topshop a couple weeks ago along with my flower dress when I returned something. I've never styled it till now just because I never had anything to wear with it, but I have my skirt now! :)

I never ever wear these boots, and I actually forgot that I had them. I bought them probably around February time and have worn them only a couple times. I accidentally found them whilst looking for a pair of boots I could wear whilst walking for my last post then change into some shoes, but just kept them on instead. They're really comfy and my feet aren't usually a fan of shoes haha! Also, I'm wearing 2 pairs of tights. I bought a pair of raspberry coloured tights the other night, but they're sooo bright so tried to dim them down with some black tights, but the black ones are just too thick. Nevermind - they kept me warm!

Cardigan: H&M || Skirt: H&M || Blouse: Topshop || Tights: Dorothy Perkins and Next
Boots: Dorothy Perkins || Belt: Primark || Ring: Handmade by vipxo

I saw on one of llymlrs posts this scrabble ring that Victoria from vipxo made, so I asked her to make me one. She makes the rings and bracelets with any letters of your choice, and I just think they're so cute and really cheap too! I recieved mine yesterday and I basically havn't stopped wearing it. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
